Social freezing is the freezing (cryopreservation) of eggs for the purpose of postponing family planning for professional or private reasons. The quality of the egg cells deteriorates significantly at a very early stage. Oocytes in a frozen state do not age. If eggs are frozen at a younger age, they can later guarantee a higher success rate in artificial insemination.
